Yerba Mate

Parana Roasted 300 g is a roasted Yerba Mate from a small family farm near Curitiba, Brazil. The roasting process creates a unique taste with notes of nuts, almonds, dark chocolate, cocoa and even coffee. Vacuum packaging ensures long-lasting freshness and aroma preservation.

This yerba can be prepared traditionally with hot or cold water, or with warm milk for a smoother, creamier drink known as “mate de leche.”

This mild yerba is a reliable mate you can enjoy every day without getting bored. Its mild and mellow taste has recognizable earthy and grassy notes, as well as subtle hints of oats, wheat and peanuts. With each sip, this mate becomes sweeter and more complex. Getting sweeter and more complex with each sip, this mate is said to enhance your senses and improve your concentration.

Kraus Pionero Suave lives up to its name as the ultimate gateway to yerba mate. Designed specifically for newcomers and gentle palates, this smooth blend features a higher proportion of stems that create a naturally mild experience without sacrificing flavor or that crucial caffeine kick.

What does Kraus Pionero Suave taste like?

Kraus Pionero Suave tastes gently flavored with light, nutty character reminiscent of raw cashews. Warm milk, flour, and subtle woodiness come through, while the aroma brings cedarwood and fresh-cut grass with bright, slightly sweet notes. The overall profile is deliberately underwhelming by design, a soft introduction rather than a bold statement.

About the manufacturer

Pionero comes from Kraus, a family business with over 100 years of heritage in Misiones Province. Their commitment to making yerba mate accessible shows in this blend, which uses their signature air-drying method while emphasizing the natural mildness of stems to create an ideal beginner product.

How do you prepare Kraus Pionero Suave?

Heat water to 65-70°C and fill your gourd three-quarters full with Pionero Suave. The higher stem content makes this very forgiving for preparation, it naturally prevents harshness and bitterness. Enjoy multiple refills; the smooth character persists nicely throughout your session.

This award-winning brand from the Monte Carlo Cooperative combines 18 months of ageing with traditional preparation with stems to create a complex, robust yerba mate. Perfect for experienced drinkers who appreciate authentic character.

What does Aguantadore Tradicional taste like?

Aguantadore Tradicional has a powerful and characterful taste, with aromatic notes of sweet treats and breakfast cereal that move into a somewhat bitter, lightly oily mouthfeel. The vegetal, natural flavour shows few earthy notes and stays soft without sharp or rough edges, giving it a traditional Argentinian personality that will appeal to experienced materos looking for authentic strength.

About the producer

Aguantadora is produced by the Monte Carlo Cooperative, an Argentinian yerba mate producer that is owned by its workers and places great value on fair working conditions, consistent quality control and sustainable production methods.

How do you drink Aguantadore Tradicional?

Prepare Aguantadore Tradicional the traditional way: fill your gourd three quarters full with this stemmed blend, cover it and shake a few times to distribute the powder evenly. Then pour warm water (75-85°C) down one side and place your bombilla. The stems form a natural filter that supports traditional preparation. Refill with hot water several times to experience how the longer ageing has developed complex flavours that suit long mate sessions perfectly.

Aguantadora Despalada is a yerba mate from Argentina specially blended from almost exclusively leaves, with a minimal proportion of twigs (palo). This creates a powerful, pure and long-lasting flavor that is ideal for lovers of a strong mate.

Because the blend consists almost exclusively of leaves, this yerba contains a higher caffeine content than a classic blend. This makes Aguantadora Despalada particularly suitable if you are looking for extra energy and focus during the day.
